As a lifelong athlete, collegiate indoor volleyball player, and competitive beach volleyball player, I experienced the effects of heat and dehydration firsthand. After years of grinding through extreme heat conditions at beach volleyball tournaments, golfing for multiple hours a day, relying on sugary sports drinks that only dragged me down, I knew something had to change.
